Privacy Policy
Score.ai (“we,” “us”) makes a hands-free basketball stat-tracking app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Score.ai you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and the role you select (parent or coach). We support sign-in with Apple, Google, or email.
- Content you create. Your teams and rosters (player jersey numbers and names), the stats and games you record, and any player photos you add.
- Voice input. While you hold the talk button, your device performs speech recognition to turn what you say into a stat. Audio is processed to produce a transcript and is not stored by us.
- Purchase information. If you subscribe to Score.ai Pro, our payments partner (RevenueCat) and the App Store process the transaction. We receive your subscription status, not your payment card details.
- Diagnostic data. Basic, non-identifying technical logs to keep the app working.
How we use your information
- To provide the app: store your roster and games, track stats, and sync them to your account across devices.
- To generate optional AI features you request — game recaps and player cards (see “AI features” below).
- To manage your subscription and provide support.
- To maintain security and improve reliability.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
AI features
When you choose to generate an AI game recap or an AI player card, the relevant data — a summary of the game’s box score, or the player photo you selected — is sent to Google’s Firebase AI / Vertex AI service to produce that result, then returned to you. We only send this data when you actively request the feature.
Player photos & children’s data
Score.ai is intended for use by adults (parents and coaches). Rosters may include the names and photos of minors that you, the adult user, choose to add. You are responsible for having the right to add that information. Photos are stored on your device and synced to your account; they are sent to the AI service only when you generate a player card. You can remove a player or photo at any time.
How your data is stored
Account data, rosters, and games are stored using Google Firebase (Firestore) under your account, with offline caching on your device. Player photos and generated cards are kept as files on your device, with their references synced to your account.
Service providers
We rely on trusted providers to operate Score.ai, including Google Firebase (authentication, database, App Check, AI), Apple (sign-in and subscriptions), and RevenueCat (subscription management). Each processes data only to provide its service.
Your choices & rights
- Access & deletion. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, rosters, and game history.
- Photos. Remove any player photo from the player’s edit screen.
- Subscription. Manage or cancel from Profile → Manage subscription, or in your Apple ID settings.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your associated data. Some records may persist briefly in backups before being overwritten.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
